Americas Best Value Inn Sault Ste. Marie

We stayed here as a stop-over from camping in Canada to lower northern Michigan. It was so easy to get to. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was SO CLEAN. I used to be a room inspector for Holiday Inn, so it's the first thing I always check. Passed with flying colors! Very quiet stay! The beds were really great (a bit firm, but that's how we like them). Great pillows! The breakfast was simple: bagels, toast, cereal, mini pastries (fresh and delicious), juice, coffee, nothing hot (eggs, pancakes, waffles), but it was sufficient since we planned on stopping along the way for lunch. GREAT shower! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. GREAT VALUE and VERY CLEAN and COMFY! P.S. PLEASE, don't forget to leave a nice tip for the housekeepers! They deserve it, just like any service providers!

For the money this place is hands down 5 star review from me. Rooms a little small but when in the sault it's a great place to hang your hat. Clean, comfortable beds, extremely friendly and helpful front desk. Continental breakfast. $74 on a last min Friday reservation. Will return next year for our yearly bowlimg tournament. Which the alley is 2 mins away. Great location

This is an under-rated location. While it does not have the services of a high end hotel, it's perfect for those who don't care about the services rarely used. The staff provided everything that was needed and were very courteous. The room was more than adequate. I would definitely stay there again.

We had spend 3 days on Mackinac Island and other nights recently at fancy hotels. Honestly, this place was just as good. The guy at the front desk was super friendly. Our room was comfortable and very clean. Bathroom could use an update but it was def worth the $ we paid for it.

The room was clean and the service was friendly. The sheer stupidity that preceded the decision to tile floors of the hallway in an establishment where one goes only to sleep does make one wonder if the atlatle was indeed a human invention. No matter how far down the hall a door was opened or closed, a suitcase rolled, or a mouse pissed, the ensuing sound that roared down the hall would have stopped herd woodland caribou were being chased by a cave bear. I suppose if nascar without earplugs is your thing you'll be fine. I eventually fell asleep to sleep to white noise playing on my phone.

Stayed for three nights in April. Location is top tier. First room I was given I walked in and saw it had not been cleaned yet. I snapped a photo and asked if I could have a different room. As soon as I showed her the photo she apologized and immediately put me into a different room. It is a cheaper hotel so my expectations weren't too high. Beds were comfortable. Shower made a lot of noise that I was only worried about disrupting other guests with. All staff members I encountered were very nice. I wasn't given room service or fresh towels so that must need to be asked for. I had concerns over some reviews mentioning guests living there and hanging out outside. I had no issues with other guests. Yes, people were outside, but not sure how that is an issue. Overall my stay was great. Would book again if needed.

I have stayed here three times this summer (June-Aug) and have been consistently pleased each time, especially with the cheaper price. My room was updated and very clean each time.

The wife and I stayed one night and the experience was four stars for us aside from the bed being to hard for us but when your older and in bad shape its hard to find a comfortable bed any wheres, but all in all it was a good over nighter thanks.
